At 3:00 p.m. It was time to begin the short journey. The riders had 30 minutes to ride their trusty scooters to the finish line at Insurgent Store.

While waiting for dusk, the scooters were first displayed in front of the store before the voting session began. Groovy tunes drifted from a corner of the store, inviting the audience to enjoy every beat that made our bodies sway without us even realizing it. Our eyes were treated to a variety of modified scooters. From there, we could imagine the riders’ personalities through the scooters and outfits they’d choose.

As evening came, the music grew louder. The sparkling lights from the carefully arranged LEDs made the atmosphere inside the store even more vibrant. The voting entered its final round to determine the three best scooters.

DJs took turns keeping the night alive. One set gave way to another, with Rey, Ngangah, and Joni taking turns behind the decks, until—before we knew it—the night had reached its end. Streets & Beats finally came to a close, leaving behind a night filled with harmony, rows of scooters, and the connections made throughout the day.
